I don’t know about anyone else, but organizing my craft area has been an ongoing challenge for me. If you’re looking for solutions that are both practical as well as inexpensive, try this dollar store storage perfect for the craft room. Look beyond the craft section in your dollar store to find pieces that work well for storage in your craft space.
Here are a few of the items I’ve found at dollar stores that are working for me.
Dollar Store Storage Perfect for the Craft Room

Idea 1: Use a Makeup Brush Holder to Store Craft Tools
These clear acrylic 3-sectioned organizers can usually be found in the cosmetics aisle at Dollar Tree. I had been keeping all of my smaller tools in a drawer organizer but I was finding it difficult to easily find the tool I needed within the jumble that created.
This way, I can put the tools I’m often reaching for during a specific project in this clear storage so they’re easily accessible. If needed, I can just switch them out for other tools when I start a new project.
Idea 2: A Clip-Lock Storage Box Good for More Than Just Pencils
This 8 1/2 x 4-inch clip-lock storage box was found in the back-to-school section at Dollar Tree. It’s a good place to store extra pens and pencils, but I’m using it to store my smaller craft tools. The clear design, makes it easier to see what’s inside, while keeping them contained and easy to find.
Idea 3: Craft Storage from the Dollar Store Craft Section
I found this 12 x 8-inch craft storage box in the craft aisle at Dollarama. It’s 2 1/2-inches deep, which makes it a good choice for storing bulkier items such as cord bundles, rope and wire.
The labels I’m using here are from a sticker sheet I found at Dollar Tree.
Idea 3: Thin Stacking Bins for Storing Stencils, Stickers and Rub-On Transfers
These thin stacking bins, found in the back-to-school section at Dollar Tree, are perfect for storing things like sticker sheets, stencils and rub-on transfers. Longer sticker and/or transfer sheets can be cut in half so they fit in the 11-inch length of the bin. I love that these bins are stackable, which saves space in my small craft area, too.
Idea 4: Use a Drawer Organizer Outside of the Drawer
I’ve had this section of drawer organizer for a long time and have been using it to store my various glues for a while now. I’ve found that this method has been working well for me. I just store my various bottles with the taller ones in the back, so I can easily find the type of glue I need.
Idea 5: Craft Storage from the Dollar Store Storage Section
This 14 x 11-inch plastic bin was found in the storage section at Dollarama. It’s 3-inches deep and I use it for storing my felt pieces. It has two clip-closures on either end.
Craft Room Storage Options That Work
As we have seen, craft storage can be found in just about any area of the dollar store. It really does help to think outside the box, when looking for craft room storage options.
